To start tracking users and get valuable insights from your analytics, first you must integrate Matomo with your website by embedding the JavaScript Tracking Code into your website.

Click on the relevant step-by-step guides if it is available for your website platform (CMS): WordPress, Joomla, Webflow, Shopify store, SquareSpace, Wix, GoDaddy Website Builder, Drupal, Jimdo.

More integrations available (mobile apps, tag managers, ecommerce)

Matomo can also be integrated in more systems: Android and iOS apps, in GTM (Google Tag Manager), Ionic mobile apps and more including Ecommerce software: see all integrations for Matomo.

Manually embedding the tracking code

If your website platform is not listed above and an integration is not already available, then you simply need to 1) get the Matomo Tracking code and 2) insert it manually in your website. Follow the steps in our developer guide at: Finding the Matomo Tracking Code
