Piwik, the world’s leading free and open source web analytics software, has announced the release of Matomo Version 2.0, which Matomo Founder and Lead Developer Matthieu Aubry describes as “our biggest and best release yet”. A completely redesigned mobile app and website (piwik.org) accompany this monumental release.
Increasingly aware of the importance of privacy, website operators all over the world are flocking to Matomo, which affords them full control over their own data.
It is an exciting time for Matomo. Matomo 2.0 includes many major updates and is the result of 7 months of work by the team and community. Also released today is the brand new Matomo Marketplace that lets users further customise and enhance their Matomo experience.

Matomo 2.0 has now been translated by volunteers into 53 different languages.
