To add the Matomo tracking code to a Blogger site please follow the below steps:

  1. Locate the Matomo Tracking code within your dashboard
    • Login to your Matomo Instance
    • Click on “Administration (cog icon)” on the top right of your dashboard
    • Click on “Manage” under “Websites or Measurables
    • Click on “View Tracking Code
    • Scroll down and copy the JavaScript tracking code.
  2. Login to Blogger and you will be redirected to your dashboard.
  3. Select the ‘Theme’ option from the left menu.

  4. Select the down arrow next to the customize button of your theme and choose ‘Edit HTML’.
    This will show you the HTML source code of your theme.

  5. Locate the ‘head’ tag of your HTML source code.
    Below this tag we need to paste in the Matomo tracking code for your site.

  6. Once the tracking code has been added, select the save icon from the top right menu.
