How do I find the Matomo website ID, also called idSite or Site ID?

Matomo lets you measure several websites within one Matomo server. Each website added to Matomo has its very own ID Site (or Website ID).

To find out the idSite value for a given website, you can follow these steps:

  1. Log into your Matomo instance.
  2. Go to Administration admin gear icon > Websites > Manage page.
  3. The Manage Measurables page displays a list of all your tracked websites.
  4. The ID is shown below the website name.

  5. Click View Tracking code to review/copy your site’s tracking code.
  6. In the tracking code, the variable u defines the URL of your Matomo instance, where tracking requests are sent, for example:
    var u="https://mysite.matomo.cloud/";

If you are using Matomo for WordPress, your Site ID should be 1 and you can double check this ID in Matomo Analytics > System Report > Matomo Blog idSite.
