Mandarine Academy’s search for a new web analytics tool began due to GDPR non-compliance issues with Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.

“Additionally, the team found Google Analytics GA4 was highly complex,” explained Laurent Maurer, CEO at Mandarine Academy. The company needed a web analytics solution that provided detailed feedback on user experience, navigation patterns, and areas of difficulty.

“The integration of Matomo on the Mandarine Academy site allowed us to more easily begin steps to improve our user experience. This tool enabled us to adopt a new approach to analysing our site and to implement our UX approach by placing the user at the center of our concerns,” explained Aurélie Hardelin, Apprentice UX/UI Designer at Mandarine Academy.

“The most important analyses for us are those impacting user experience. Regular use of tags helps us see the impact of certain elements on a page. Thanks to Matomo, we can monitor click-through rates, interactivity rates, visibility rates, and error rates, which are crucial for our continuous improvement process,” Laurent explained.
