When you filter table reports like the Behaviour > Pages report, the Totals row does not update based on the filtered results.

When you apply a table filter, the report displays only the matching rows. The Totals row at the bottom still reflects the full dataset, not the filtered subset.

How to get accurate totals for a subset of pages

To calculate totals for a specific group of pages:

  • Export the report and sum the rows in a spreadsheet, or
  • Use a segment instead of a table filter. For example, if you create a segment that includes only specific page URLs, the report will show only those pages with the totals row reflecting those pages.

A table filter only changes what is displayed and does not change how totals are calculated. Segments apply to the entire dataset and ensures both the rows and totals reflect the same subset of data.
