What’s new in our latest release?

Matomo 5.9.0, our latest minor release, delivers a range of improvements to security, reporting, and privacy-related features. It introduces three notable enhancements: CNIL compliance in one click, a dedicated Segment Management page, and an improved Calendar with additional date presets for faster reporting workflows.

Release Highlights

Simplify CNIL compliance: One click, every setting covered

Getting a site CNIL-compliant no longer means manually going through settings one by one. Simply enable the Enforce compliance option, hit Save, and Matomo applies a CNIL-compliant configuration to your selected site automatically. A built-in Self-Assessment Table then lets you review each requirement against CNIL’s published criteria.

Segment management: Build, edit, and organise in a dedicated space

The new Segments page gives you a dedicated space to create, edit, and organise all your segments in one place. This improves visibility and simplifies segment management workflows. You can access the Segments page from the Visitors menu and the segment selector. Explore the Manage Segments page.

New Calendar date presets: Skip the clicks, get to your data

The updated calendar includes additional date presets for the reporting periods you reach for most. Fewer clicks to get where you’re going means faster access to the insights that matter.
