Set up the Matomo Connector template report in Looker Studio
If you’re new to Looker Studio and would like to get started with the Matomo Connector, then the easiest way to begin is with our free template report.
Looker Studio can be a powerful tool for visualising your Matomo analytics data but it can be daunting starting with a blank page. That is why we have created this template that you can use with any Matomo instance to get a quick overview of your website stats or use as a starting point for building your own unique reports.
How to connect the template report with your Matomo analytics
To use this template, you will be making a copy of it into your own Looker Studio account and then connecting it to your Matomo data. To get started, just follow the steps below.
- Visit the template report in Looker Studio.
- Click the more options button then Make a copy.
- Click Create data source within the New Data Source dropdown.
- Connect your Matomo (Full Connection Guide)
- Select the API > Main Metrics report.
- Click Connect and then Add to Report.
- Click Copy Report to finalise.
Which metrics are included in the template report?
The template report has been pre-configured with a broad range of metrics that will update based on the range selected via the Date Selector at the top of the page.
The metrics featured within the report template are:
- Visits
- Bounce Rate
- Pageviews
- Unique Pageviews
- Actions
- Actions per Visit
- Conversions
- Conversion Rate
- Revenue
