Matomo automatically uses the same timezone as configured in WordPress. To change the timezone follow these steps:

  • Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard
  • Go to “Settings -> General”
  • Change the timezone
  • Save the change

The timezone is often applied immediately. However, in some cases it can take up to a day. In this case you can trigger an immediate sync of the timezone by going to “Matomo Analytics -> Diagnostics -> Troubleshooting” and then clicking on the “Sync site” button.
