How do I set the time zone for my reports?

Cloud On-Premise

Matomo lets you specify the time zone for each website in Websites settings. Note that changing the website’s time zone will only affect reports going forward.

Change the website time zone

  1. Go to Administration admin gear icon > Websites > Edit.
  2. Set the time zone as required and save the change.

You can also change the global time zone, so any new website you create in the future will use the specified global time zone.

  1. Go to Websites > Settings.
  2. Under Default Time zone for new websites, select your time zone.

Note: Matomo internally stores all times in UTC.

Matomo for WordPress

If you are using Matomo for WordPress, then Matomo will use the time zone configured in WordPress automatically. You can change the time zone in WordPress by going to WP Admin Dashboard > Settings > General.
